Let the Community Be Heard! Keep Coach Aaron Hallford as AD at BISD
The Issue
Many members of the community are aware that Coach Aaron Hallford has been asked to step down from his position as Athletic Director at Burkeville ISD. At this time, no clear reason has been publicly provided for this decision.
In the short two years that Aaron Hallford and his wife, Nichole Hallford, have been part of the Burkeville community, they have made a meaningful and lasting impact. As a coach and Athletic Director, Coach Hallford helped lead our football program to the first round of the playoffs and encouraged many students to become more dedicated to their goals, their teammates, and their community. He also introduced a golf team to Burkeville which is something the school had never previously had.
Nichole Hallford has also played an important role in supporting the youth of our community. She has dedicated significant time and energy to organizing and supporting local youth sports teams helping create opportunities for young athletes. In addition, she is heavily involved in 4-H, where she continues to mentor and support students through leadership, service, and educational programs. Much of this work has been done voluntarily and out of genuine commitment to the children and families of Burkeville.
Beyond his role in athletics, Coach Hallford has been a mentor and positive influence for many students at Burkeville ISD, serving as a role model and trusted support figure.
If you believe Coach Hallford should remain in his role and that the Burkeville community should have a voice in this decision, please consider signing this petition. The petition will be presented to the school board on March 23, and the more signatures collected, the stronger the community’s voice will be in support of the Hallford family.
Thank you for taking the time to read and participate.
