Thanks to the 40,000+ people who have signed this petition in the past week!

Because of you, the IOC is under increasing pressure to “Let Taiwan Be Taiwan”. If we can keep up the momentum and attract the attention of the international media, we will have an even better chance of achieving our goal.

To make that happen, I am asking for your help. 

Let’s try to pass 100,000 signatures. Together, we can easily do it. All it would take is each one of us getting a couple more people to sign the petition. You could:

• ask friends, family members, colleagues, or classmates
• share the petition on multiple social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LINE, YouTube, and Reddit
• contact newspapers, tv stations, politicians, and celebrities. 

All it would take is one Olympic superstar, such as Naomi Osaka, to publicly endorse the petition, and millions of people would be talking about it the next day.

This petition has already been in the media twice. It was originally published as an op-ed in the Taipei Times, and it was mentioned again in an op-ed in the Washington Examiner. Here are the links:

The Taiwanese people deserve to be treated with equality and respect. Anything less is unacceptable. Let’s hold the IOC accountable. Let’s ensure that Taiwan’s flag is flying at the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics and at every Olympics going forward.

１週間足らずで４万人超えの新しいサポーター！

先週署名して下さった４万人以上の方々へ、ご協力いただきまして厚く御礼申し上げます。台湾は間違いなく皆様の協力に感謝します。

皆様のおかげで、IOCに対する「台湾を台湾にしよう」という圧力を高めています。この勢いを維持し、国際的なメディアの注目をもっと集めることが出来れば、私たちの目標を達成する可能性は更に高くなります。

それを実現するために、更なるご協力をお願い出来ればと思います。
