Thank you to everyone who has signed the petition, your voices truly matter. Please keep sharing it with fellow residents so we can continue building momentum and strengthening our collective voice.
Last night’s Board of Education meeting was a huge success, with an exceptional turnout that showed just how deeply our community cares. Most importantly, the vote to renew Dan Ross’s contract was postponed, a clear sign that speaking up makes a difference. Every person who took the floor spoke from lived experience and echoed the concerns so many of us have been feeling for years.
Despite lengthy speeches from Ross and members of the Board that seemed intended to exhaust the public, we stayed focused and united. Instead of accountability, we heard excuses that avoided the facts. Our district is failing our students, families have been driven away, and current leadership continues to allow this decline.
While this chapter of the fight may be closing, our progress is undeniable. Real change only happens when a community stands together and that is exactly what we are doing. I have also reached out to Mayor Cilento for support. While he has not yet responded, he is fully aware that residents are demanding the removal of Dan Ross.
It’s time for Dunellen to stand as one. Years of division have created a toxic environment, and we deserve better for our children, our schools, and our community. We have the right to speak up, to be heard, and to demand accountability.
Together, we are the change.
