Good morning everyone, we are 6-7 students from Sekolah Highscope Bintaro. In this petition, we will talk about and explain about deforestation. This includes the introduction, content, problem, solution.

Ecosystem is where living things such as trees, animals, and even humans. An ecosystem is an essential place since it consists of many living and non-living things, if the ecosystem was harmed the living things that lived inside it would also get harmed and make the ecosystem imbalanced. One of the causes of an imbalance in the ecosystem is deforestation.

The problem is that deforestation can cause climate change and direct loss of wildlife. Causing an unbalanced ecosystem and habitat lost. Deforestation causes many problems to the wildlife ecosystem causing them to become extinct. According to the Global Forest Watch, around 2015 Indonesia suffered the biggest loss of trees due to a fire caused by climate change. Furthermore, many trees were chopped down by a large amount causing thousands of anicaused mals death and creating an unbalanced ecosystem. These cases severely impact the entire animal community. From 2003 to 2023, trees have been significantly decreasing at a rapid speed causing trees to become slowly endangered, but it is still considered as a lot of cases which is 144 kilo hectares of primary forest loss due to deforestation. This endangers the environment and the animals. 
Solution

The solution to deforestation is to plant more trees, get involved in tree planting initiatives in your community or through global organizations. Go paperless, reduce consumption by going digital at home and in the office. When you need to print, use both sides of the paper. Avoid palm oil, Palm oil production contributes significantly to deforestation. Check labels and avoid products containing palm oil if possible. We propose also to support the government to apply the laws more strictly as stated in Undang -Undang No.18 tahun 2023 about deforestation, provide and form more anti-deforestation patrols near the forest. To educate people more, we will create a petition, report, and a m-block about deforestation and its effect on the environment, specifically the ecosystem around it. This solution can help prevent and decrease deforestation around us, harming the environment and also spreading the word to people.
