Make Eid a National Holiday

Make Eid a National Holiday
The Issue
Eid is an Islamic holiday celebrated by Muslims twice a year, all around the world.
Islam is the second largest religion in the world. Moreover Islam is the fastest growing religion. Yet despite this, we do not have a holiday or a day off on either of they sacred days of the year. We deserve to take this time to celebrate our traditions with our families and communities.
The Christians have Christmas break, the Jewish community have their days off for Hanukkah, Yom Kippur, and Passover. We as a Muslim population aren’t even asking for much.
Christmas break can give multiple days, sometimes weeks off to everyone in the country. All we ask for is two days to celebrate both Eids as a Muslim community.
Let’s all stand together to bring this change to the entire Muslim community in America.
Thank you for your support and Inshallah with Allah’s guidance we can do this.
