Unconstitutional Muniz legislation was passed by pa supreme court. Added to Megan's law.
The Issue
Once again, the laws to protect our innocent children from sexual predators are failing. A new piece of legislation added to the new Megan's law 2012 will ease restrictions on current registry predators and limit the amount of years a predator has to register under Megan's law. This new legislation is called Muniz legislation and the PA SUPREME COURT RULED that it's unconstitutional to retro back the crime if it occurred before the new Megan's law of 2012. In other words, if crimes occurred before the new Megan's law requiring stricter rules and regulations that it's unconstitutional.
