Let’s protect the originality that defines Nepal!
The Issue
Nepal is not just a land; it is the soul of countless indigenous and marginalized communities whose original languages, clothing, festivals, and food reflect the true identity of our nation.
Communities such as the Santal, Dhimal, Majhi, Musahar, Chepang, Kusunda, Kumal, Gandharva, Badi, Kami, Damai, Sunar, Sarki, Dhanwar, Yakha, Dom, Haliya, and many more have preserved their originality for generations.
Their traditions do not only define them — they define Nepal.
But to this day, many of these languages, cultural practices, and identities remain unrecognized and unprotected by law.
We respectfully urge the Government of Nepal to:
1. Officially recognize the languages, traditional dress, festivals, and food cultures of indigenous and marginalized communities.
2. Ensure their protection and promotion through national policies.
3. Respect and integrate their cultural expressions into schools, offices, and public life.
Supporting this cause means preserving the heart and soul of Nepal’s true identity.

नेपाल केवल भूगोल मात्र होइन, यहाँ रहेका आदिवासी र सीमान्तकृत समुदायहरूको मौलिकता नै हाम्रो देशको पहिचान हो।
सन्ताल, धिमाल, माझी, मुसहर, चेपाङ, कुसुन्डा, कुमाल, गन्धर्व, बादी, कामी, दमाई, सुनार, सार्की, धनुवार, याख्खा, डोम, हलिया लगायत थुप्रै जातजातिहरूले पुस्तौंदेखि आफ्ना मौलिक भाषा, पोशाक, चाडपर्व र खानपान परम्परा जोगाउँदै आएका छन्।
यी परम्पराहरू केवल समुदायको परिचय होइनन् — यी नै नेपालको मौलिक पहिचान हुन्।
तर आजसम्म, यिनीहरूको भाषा, पोशाक, चाडपर्व र खानपानलाई राज्यले आधिकारिक मान्यता र संरक्षण दिएको छैन।
हामी नेपालको सरकारसँग यो माग गर्दछौं: १) यी समुदायहरूको भाषा, परम्परागत पोशाक, चाडपर्व र खानपानलाई औपचारिक मान्यता दिइयोस्।
२) यिनीहरूको मौलिक सांस्कृतिक संरक्षण नीति निर्माणमा सुनिश्चित गरियोस्।
३) विद्यालय, कार्यालय र सार्वजनिक जीवनमा यिनीहरूको चाडपर्व र परम्परालाई उचित सम्मान दिइयोस्।
यो आवाज समानताको मात्र होइन, हाम्रो देशको मौलिक पहिचान र गौरवको संरक्षणको लागि हो।
यस अभियानमा समर्थन गरौं — नेपाललाई उसकै मौलिक संस्कृति र पहिचानसहित सुरक्षित राखौं!
