This is a truly beautiful part of Victoria with lots of growth potential with the right political will and vision...from all levels of government. It would seem however, to only have piecemeal attention from our politicians due to distance and a small economy...and it is in a long held national electorate. (Excluding when Independent Craig Ingram held the seat) The economy could grow and with it JOBS. The answer is in Tourism (all sectors) NOT gutting the Lakes in shore fishery... NOR the Lakes ecology.. NOR the health of the surrounding Ramsar Listed wetlands NOR the health of the feed in creeks and rivers. We should NOT be approving mines which pollute for a FEW jobs but create an alternative industry with many jobs NOW and well into the future.
