With our 630 online supporters and over 100 hard copy signatures we are on our way to our first 1000!! We have a way to go and need your support to get our petition noticed. Please share the online petition with those you know who love our lakes and want to see them healthy with a sustainable recreational fishery. The Gippsland Lakes are a Ramsar Convention listed wetland, home to a variety of marine animals, birds and the rare Burrunan dolphins. We need to stop seine and mesh netting of fish, allow fish stocks to replenish through responsible recreational fishing and boating, to protect the lakes and surrounding wetlands into the future. Keep up the good work!! You may be interested in the article in the Gippsland Times in May this year regarding the reduced sightings of our very own dolphin species.
