This briefly explains why we should stop pigeon abuse. Believe it or not pigeons face prejudice- they are viewed as dirty, annoying and useless. The abuse that these creatures suffer is inhumane. Just because one got in someones way and mildly inconvenienced them does not equate to them having the right to kick and harm it. This is why I believe we need more protective measures in place for them and they way to do this is to spread awareness. Abuse should be illegal. People should be fined after being seen abusing pigeons.

We need to get rid of the negative stereotypes surrounding these poor animals so people can learn to treat them with more respect. Hate seeing pigeons crowding the streets? Fair enough! Get the pigeons off the street to a habitat they can survive it. It is possible to find a solution we just need to try. For example by raising money for pigeon sanctuaries where they can live in peace. They deserve shelter, food and a happy life.

Furthermore, if you hate pigeons for how they congregate in cities then I hate to break it to you but it is all mankind’s fault. There was a time when pigeons were useful to humans so we domesticated them, using them in the wars to solve man made problems. Now that we no longer need them they have been abandoned in streets and viewed at useless. How is that fair? How do we have the right to cause a whole species to become homeless? This is why it is necessary to spread awareness on this issue. Sign this petition to show that you agree with the need to stop pigeon hate!!
