Across Western Canada, our wildlife have faced the hardest fight for survival possible this year. The largest wildfires season, a new virus spread by midgets killing wild sheep, severe drought and heat waves that have dried up streams and resulted in mass fish kills and food shortages, and other dangers. If we care about the moose, deer, bears, big horn sheep, and other icons for our children, let's give them a fighting chance of survival. Let's pause hunting for a season. As someone who has hunted and respects hunting, I am asking you to join with me to ask our provincial governments to pause the hunting season. This year has been the most challenging on record for MANY reasons and we need to adapt to help our fellow creatures survive and thrive. Let's stop hunting for a season to give them a chance at survival. Conservation offices have noted low food for bears in the Canmore and Banff area, mass fish kills and drought in BC and Alberta, and 300 wildfires are killing our wildlife. Stop the hunts this year.
