On 5th January news broke of Edwin Chiloba's lifeless body found inside a metallic box by police in Uasin Gishu County after a report by a witness saw an unidentified vehicle dumping the box.

This comes after Edwin posted an attack in September through his socials that were later deleted. It is alleged he was murdered on New Year's night.

It is barely a year since #JusticeforSheila and with the case still dragging in Nyeri High Court no justice has been achieved yet. No more attacks isolated or targeted! Protect queer Kenyans. It is of national interest that the perpetrators are found, tried, prosecuted, and punished accordingly as the law requires. Human rights for all, justice for Edwin Chiloba who was an LGBTQ+ human rights activist, and fashion icon.

This petition demands:

1. That the DCI in Eldoret prioritize this murder investigation as a matter of public interest and bring the would-be perpetrators to book.  
2. That all Kenyans irrespective of their persuasions are protected by the Constitution and all rights accorded including the right to safety and life.
