With the exception of Sam Ryder placing at number 2 for the UK in the contest back in 2022, the UK's music acts put forward have been poor and underwhelming. This year was the icing on the cake with the UK getting just a single point from a very bad song that should of never made it out of the starting blocks. 

Now, the suggestion of the possibility of Cradle of filth being an entry might sound slightly crazy, but hear me out, as I think it would actually make total sense for them to represent the UK. Cradle of filth are one Britain’s most globally recognised extreme metal bands with a large fanbase across EUROPE. If we cast our minds back to 2006, Lordi won Eurovision, and I believe Cradle of filth would have similar success if put forward as an entry.   

Maybe this all sounds crazy, but maybe, just maybe, this is a crazy enough idea to actually get an interesting act in for the UK to take part in the competition.
