YOU MADE IT HAPPEN!!

The City of Santa Cruz just announced the first 11 Slow Streets to roll out over the next two weeks as signs and barriers come in.  There were over 40 applications total, so watch for a second and maybe even a third phase in the months ahead.

The entire City is covered with 5 on the Eastside, 1 Downtown, 3 on the lower Westside and 2 on the middle/upper Westside.

The longest is the Escalona Greenway, creating a perfect and beautiful 2-mile loop wherever you start between Highland and Bay for walking, running, riding or rolling. 

The shortest is Jesse Street, better connecting Downtown to the Neary Lagoon Wildlife Refuge.

Others connect with Natural Bridges State Park, Bethany Curve walkway, Grant Park, the lower Seabright commercial district, and Branciforte Middle School.
