HELP - We just learned that the City Council is considering a VERY LIMITED Slow Streets program that would only be open to a few specific streets identified by City staff for different purposes back in 2016.

Specifically, the Transportation and Public Works Commission's unanimous recommendation for a citywide and equitable program based on neighborhood applications may be ignored.

PLEASE WRITE THE CITY COUNCIL THIS MORNING asking that Slow Streets be open for applications from EVERY NEIGHBORHOOD, not just a few selected by City staff years ago. 

Slow Streets could be a positive, unifying and health-oriented program for the entire City; don't let it become yet another divisive program for just a few select neighborhoods.
