Meet my friend Barklee, she's 3!
I adopted her on March 17th, 2024 from a "reputable breeder" and transported her from Fresno, California to Grande prairie, Alberta
Since bringing Barklee home we have been on Rollercoaster of emotions, and April 8th has been the lowest day yet.

See, I was told that she had a ghost pregnancy in Febuary. I got her on March 17th. Her original owner said she wasn't to go into a heat cycle for 4 months. Well, that was wrong. She ended up going into a heat cycle the first weekend she came home. I wasn't prepared for that. 
While she was in heat she started leaking a clear foul smelling fluid from her little lady parts. The first vet I seen said perhaps a UTI but to watch it as she was still bleeding from the heat cycle.
She finished her bleeding on Friday April 5th, 2024, and on April 6th she was still dripping, more less gushing from her vulva periodically at this point. I took her to the on call vet in my town April 7th where they gave her an ultrasound and diagnosed her with hydrometra of the uterus and recommended a spay sooner than later, so I booked her immediately to be spay the next morning.

The day of her surgery came, and they opened her up to spay her and discovered her insides were a total mess, and the vet that tended to her made a misdiagnons (which I am thankful for, or I never would have know how sick she is). They discovered she has a secondary UTI, bilateral hydronephrosis and bilateral hydrourters and they were engorged to about 30 times the size of normal. This condition will eventually put her into kidney failure.

Upon investigations I've done my self, I feel as she was a hostage in a puppy mill.
