As a former teacher and parent to a child with both intellectual and physical disabilities, I recognize our current playground's failings firsthand. Currently our neighborhood park has a ramp with a treacherous drop-off, leading to an area carpeted with bark. This terrain is not only tough to navigate for many individuals but also poses significant safety concerns. It's crucial to note that the inclusivity and accessibility provided by bringing a Magical Bridge Playground to Healdsburg will not merely meet the ADA requirements but will go beyond them.

Healdsburg needs a playground that promotes inclusivity and accessibility where people of all abilities can play and be included. The time is now—not just for my daughter, but for all others who struggle in a world not designed for them. It's unfair to deprive a family of the joy of participating due to lack of accessibility.
