We are a group of international and local families living in Poblenou, Barcelona or close by that are suffering from the absence of International schools (primary schools) in our barrio. In case we want to opt for an education path different from the Catalan public school, we have to send our kids between 10 and 40 km away - which is problematic since we are talking about kids of just 5-6 years old. Some of our kids feel sick in the car and bus, so the school bus is not a suitable option, in addition, we believe we should save them from spending 1-2 hours commuting every day.

We think there is a huge potential for an International school in Poblenou, Barcelona. Therefore we want to send this letter to the main International schools in the city to present the opportunity for them to open a branch in our barrio and we need as many signatures as possible from all parents who feel this pain. Join us in our campaign to bring an International school to Poblenou!

This is the letter to be sent to the International School's Directors:

Many families are seriously considering not opting for private schools altogether, compelled by the challenges posed by the existing distance to institutions. We believe that bringing your outstanding educational institution to Poblenou would not only address this pressing need but also alleviate the concerns of families contemplating private education.

Moreover, Poblenou is home to a vibrant ecosystem of startups, international companies, and a diverse expat community, all of whom speak multiple languages. The demand for international education, especially at the primary level, is undeniable.
