Let Northeast High School compete at their state championship

Let Northeast High School compete at their state championship
The Issue
It has come to our attention that Northeast High School was not scored in the correct difficulty range in jumps, which resulted in the team scoring 7.5 points lower than they deserved per the scoresheet. Since this is not a subjective category and the team met the requirement for jumps, we are urging that the judges reconsider their current stance and change Northeast’s score. We also know that the judges admitted the scoring was incorrect, but are choosing to keep the score the same.
There is very little accountability on the side of the judges, which makes this extremely one-sided and unfair to the athletes when there has been a clear error on the part of the judges. If a team has a deduction, we are held accountable and rightfully so. If the judging panel makes a mistake, they should be held to the same standard of the athletes.
All of our athletes and coaches work extremely hard to ensure that we are hitting the scoresheet to the best of our ability. There are 7 seniors on the team who may not be able to advance to states, by no fault of their own. Once again, this difficulty requirement is clearly outlined on the scoring rubric and we are simply asking that you give Northeast the score they deserve based on your scoresheet. In result of the mistake by the judges we are 8th in the region and they only take the top 7 teams to states when our routine was clearly worth more.
Thank you for your time and please sign this to help Northeast cheer compete at states!
