My son Logan was a Senior at Clear Falls High School in League City Texas. While on Spring Break visiting in Arizona, Logan became seriously ill and was admitted to Mayo Hospital in Phoenix, AZ. He was ultimately diagnosed with CTEPH (Chronic Thromboebolic Pulmonary Hypertension). He had a blood clot 100% blocking his pulmonary artery. Because of this, his right lung was not perfusing at all and he was in right sided heart failure. He was flown via Angel Flight to UCSD for surgery. Upon arriving he went into septic shock and almost died THREE times! He was placed on bypass (ECMO). After many complications, he finally had the surgery, PTE(pulmonary thromboendarderectomy). He is now recovering at home. 

His High School recently disenrolled him from school, AFTER they initially agreed to let him complete his work remotely secondary to his medical condition. A “committee” met without our knowledge and decided that they could not accommodate Logan. This is UNACCEPTABLE!! Logan has been through enough and now less than 2 weeks from graduation, not only will he not graduate, but they KICKED HIM OUT OF SCHOOL! 

Please help us get the administration’s attention and demand that they allow Logan to complete his work to graduate. He was accepted into 5 colleges and all of this is on hold until he gets his diploma! Logan has been through so much trauma these last 8 weeks, and honestly this feels to him like a huge kick in the face. He feels no one in the administration cares about him or his future. They should honestly be ashamed! 

Please sign this petition to demand that the school administration give Logan the opportunity to complete his work to get his diploma ASAP and allow him to walk in graduation with his fellow students and friends!
