At last nights city council meeting the decision was made to delay the vote until the next council meeting. 

City councilors will be signing a resolution that will claim NO forced annexation will be used in the city. Annexation of areas will only happen by a majority vote of landowners in the potential area to be annexed. 

things to note, this land has always been public. We want to keep it that way and have a say in how the land is used. If King City does not purchase this land it then goes out to other entities, like Metro, who will surely not consider the surrounding neighborhood or wildlife. 

Councilor Braverman boldly stated she felt that the land should be purchased by a private family and be made private to public. Yet again taking more public land from those of us who live here and blocking us from accessing the river. 

I urge you to email your councilors and tell them you want them to vote yes on the land purchase.
