Bob and Darcie are now settled into a private sector bungalow, having left Burnfoot Hall Care Home last weekend. Support is being put into place and enquiries are continuing to access other support services in order to finalise a long-term strategy. Pressure continues to be applied on the politicians and the media to look into the facts of this case and to put policies in place to protect all vulnerable elderly people who rely on the private care sector to see them through their final years. We will continue the fight to hold Mead Medical Services Ltd to account and to expose other providers who put their own interests above those of residents towards whom they have a duty of care. Reaching the 300,000 signature target on the petition remains a priority. On 21st April the total reached 266,000, so 34,000 still required. Please continue to share Bob's story so that we can use the petition to continue to push for change. If you have any innovative ideas for moving . this case forward or for fundraising options to continue with Bob's long-term support needs, or if you wish to make observations, rather than clogging up the petition page we have set up an e:mail account which will be fully monitored. So please get in touch at bobandhisdog@yahoo.com On behalf of Bob and Darcie, a heartfelt thank you to all those who have supported them, who continue to do so and who have donated to this worthwhile cause. The petition and the justgiving fund will continue and all supporters will be kept fully up-to-date via the change.org/savebobsdog page
