I have been using Thinkpads my entire life. I have always found them to be very reliable. I have had the same one for seven years and it's still working great except for a faulty connection in the power port making it think it's constantly being plugged in and then unplugged. After spending a while searching Lenovo's website I finally just put in two filters, 15"+ screen size, and Thinkpad. All of them have a number pad on the keyboard. There is not a single option to get it without a number pad. 

Personally I think it is an ugly design, it causes the center of the keyboard and trackpad to be offset from the center of the screen. I wanted to make sure I was not alone so I did a quick search and found multiple posts on Lenovo's own forums, and reddit of people expressing their dislike of this design, more then a hefty majority would prefer to have a centered keyboard and trackpad without a number pad. There were of course a few people who said they like it and that's perfectly fine I'm not saying don't make them but it shouldn't be the only option. 

Some of the complaints included more then just finding it to be an eyesore. When trying to use it on your lap, because it is a "lap"top, the number pad causes it to be positioned weird and its a constant battle of trying to be comfortable and keep it balanced. It also takes up space that could be used for better speakers or other components that people might like the option to have.

From the forums it is clear that many people have actually stopped buying Thinkpads solely for this reason. I too find my self in this disappointing position of  being forced to shop elsewhere.

I called Lenovo today and talked to three different people who had no idea people felt this way and they didn't seem to care enough that they might run it up the flag pole so I decided to make this petition to hopefully bring this to Lenovo's attention. If you feel the same way please sign and share to help bring back the Thinkpads we know and love.
