Demand that Lenovo provide Bios update to enable Linux Installation
This petition made change with 133 supporters!
For new laptops belong to Yoga Series, Lenovo has disabled "advanced tab" in Bios. Linux users must activate AHCI mode (Sata Operation) to install Linux OS on their machines. And without "advanced tab" it is impossible.
Lenovo rejects providing any update:
"Our Yoga design requires very specific, complex and unique drivers that require even greater amounts of testing, to ensure class-leading performance with Windows 10. To support our Yoga products and our industry-leading 360-hinge design in the best way possible we have used a storage controller mode that is unfortunately not supported by Linux and as a result, does not allow Linux to be installed. Beyond the controller setup limitation, other advanced capabilities of the Yoga design would likely not work with current Linux offerings."
It is very new statement so people who didn't recognize any signal before, bought very expensive Yoga products for nothing. In some countries people cannot return their products due to lack of laws.
