WE DON'T WANT TO BUY NEW DEVICES TO FEED LENOVO's REVENUE GENERATION AS THE DEVICES WE ALREADY OWN CAN EASILY RUN ANDROID NOUGAT

When we purchase Android based devices from Asus, the transaction of the purchase is an acknowledgement and confirmation that Asus will continue to provide the latest Android operating system.

----+++++++----------

It is LENOVO'S RESPONSIBILITY to pressure Google and chipmakers such as Intel and Qualcomm to provide the drivers and necessary support for the push to Android Nougat on Lenovo devices. Lenovo earns tens of MILLIONS of dollars in revenue a year to be able put together an Android software maintanance and software update team but Lenovo doesn't care about devices which are more than a year old, nor its customers. They would rather sell new devices straight off the never ending revenue generating factory line instead of providing Android updates to improve end-user security and stability.

GIVE US ANDROID NOUGAT FOR CHRISTMAS ! ⛔ - not just for the revenue generating flagship smartphones but for ALL the eligible devices listed in this petition.

THE PETITION

Applies to Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 plus!

tablets are of higher priority than smartphones for Android updates since revenue generating smartphones are always prioritised while tablets have been completely abandoned.

According to the Lenovo Android update roadmap, it appears that Lenovo bothers itself to focus only on it's revenue generating flagship smartphones rather than maintain capable and decent tablets with updates. These devices have been completely forgotten about as a result.

Tablets to be updated.

Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Plus.

Lenovo moderators have deleted all forum posts which were requesting Android 7.0 Nougat as Lenovo doesn't want to be obligated to provide Android Nougat for devices which are more than a year old.They prefer to take your money and run (isn't that against the law?). Part of an obvious 'silencing campaign, Lenovo moderators delete posts from which criticise Lenovo's poor software support and those who request Android Nougat. THIS IS APPALLING BEHAVIOR from Lenovo. Five forum members (as well as myself) were recently BANNED from the forum for merely mentioning the words 'Android 7.0 Update / Nougat Update / Android Nougat' in forum posts. ALL THOSE FORUM POSTS WERE DELETED BY LENOVO MODERATORS (yes! Every single one. Do they want to hide something?). In addition to being banned, Lenovo has blocked our IP addresses on their server-side so that we cannot even visit the Lenovo website. Why? It is THE CUSTOMER'S RIGHT to criticise the quality of service and request Android updates. Try it yourself ! For your first 'Android Update Request' post they will immediately delete the post upon discovery. Post a second time, you will be instantly banned.

LENOVO, GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!

There are much needed security updates which should be pushed to our devices IMMEDIATELY to resolve current and future security vulnerabilities as well as Lenovo's very own spyware.

 Lenovo must stop the abandoning of Lenovo mobile devices which leave them devoid of Android updates. We consumers shouldn't have to buy new devices! Our current hardware can run Android Nougat!

Lenovo tablet and smartphone users are dangerously behind with system updates and Lenovo customers demand consistent, thorough and ongoing Android system updates for their devices. We consider it rude to be forgotten and Lenovo must work responsibly to provide 'timely' Android updates for all eligible devices. If Android Nougat can run well on a 3-4 year old device then why not push the update? Why hold off?

We purchase Lenovo products, therefore, we expect our devices to receive regular Android updates as soon as they are released by Google, not one or two years after. Lenovo should put aside the revenue generating smartphone agenda and stop barring users from receiving the latest Android updates just because they simply didn't buy luxury, high-end or flagship devices.
