State Representative Mike Hill, Our Bill Sponsor
With the Pensacola Lee Circle Confederate Cenotaph
Three weeks ago, Florida State Representative Mike Hill (R - Pensacola), filed the Soldiers and Heroes Monuments & Memorial Protection Bill. It wasn't long until the #fakenews were calling him a "white supremacist" and "Uncle Tom". (Perhaps you heard some of the stories in the news or read them online).
But Rep. Hill isn't backing down and now it is time to roll up our sleeves and get busy helping him MOVE OUR BILL through the House!
House Speaker Olivia, has assigned the bill to 3 committees. Tomorrow (Friday, January 4th) the Chairman of these 3 Committees will decide if they will put the bill on the Committee agenda next week ("hear the bill").
Today THEY MUST hear from us that the bill is important. That we are tired of our veterans graves and memorials being vandalized and removed by radicals who want to take a wrecking ball to America.
HOW CAN YOU HELP:
Call the 3 Chairman - All of them have 3 numbers: their district office, their Tallahassee office and their Committee office. Call all three if you can!
You will probably talk to 'staff'. Make a note of who you speak with and follow up for a status. Offer to send them information on the bill. If they say "ok" a good resource is the www.savetheirhonor.org web site, which has a short 3 minute video about the problem. You can send the link to the video as well.

SAVE SOUTHERN HERITAGE Inc. is a not for profit corporation that educates & advocates on behalf of Southern Heritage & History.
