Megan Eppes Barnes and her GGGGfather, Thomas Jefferson

We have been wondering how long this would take...and now here it is

DNA shaming made real. Not only are slave owners intolerable to the #takeemdown - ers but descendants of slave owners are also.

This attitude has been exposed in the Francis Eppes sculpture removal matter at Florida State University.

You know the story by heart - a few complainers mixed with the high profile Charlottesville incident caused JEB Bush Croney, FSU President, Thrasher, to take down a statue of Frances Eppes who was instrumental in the founding of FSU.

A young descendant, who happened to be a student, shared her feelings on facebook, and now THEY have put a target on her back.

The insidious thing about this is that is is now OK to shame someone based on their parentage. Not only did they shame Eppes for being the grandson, of well, you know, that slave owning, Thomas Jefferson, but THEY have also shamed a student, the granddaughter of Eppes for courageously defending her GGGGrandfather.

Their heading to the video "White woman whines".

THIS MUST NOT STAND! Please share this petition with family, friends and colleagues. This is not just an FSU thing! All who believe the commandment, honor thy father and mother should be insulted by how this young woman is being treated for defending her family. DISGRACEFUL! Her now...who next? Let's draw the line and STAND OUR GROUND.

About Us:

We are a voluntary association of individuals who revere the south, southern history and southern heritage. We wish to see the history of the south preserved for future generations.

Graves, Street Names, County Names, Historic Cenotaphs and Monuments are all under attack by the Anti-History, Anti-American Heritage Haters.  If any memory of Southern American history is to exist in America, it is up to us.

SSH FL is working tirelessly to counterpunch the "erase-ists" and to preserve and promote the history of the south.  We hold events and provide resources related to the study and preservation of southern heritage. We also work with legislators to pass and maintain legislation to protect history and the freedoms of those who wish to support their heritage.

Our group does not condone racism and as such we do not support any group or person that does. We respect the rights and privileges of all as bestowed on them by their creator and expect those in our association to respect and treat others as they themselves would wish to be treated.

We invite you to join us in saving Southern Heritage and spread the word to like minded individuals.
