Save Southern Heritage - FL

Oct 22, 2017
Dear Supporter of Saving our Jacksonville History,
THEY are not happy that things aren't moving fast enough in Jacksonville!!!
THEY did a call out for Tuesday night's City Council Meeting (the pic is their Facebook page screen print)
Meanwhile City Council Pres. Anna Broche is like a dog with a bone, she just won't let it (our stuff) go! We are getting reports that THEY are making headway and a bill that may be presented soon - we must NIP IT IN THE BUD!
WE MUST BE HEARD...If we are SILENT...THEY WILL WIN AND OUR PRECIOUS HISTORY AND HERITAGE WILL BE another casualty on the War on America.
What will you do? Will you get involved and do your bit? Or will you sit on the sideline and count on someone else, oh, like the Sons or Daughters of the Confederacy, to defend your history for you?
Tomorrow will be too late!!! Ask New Orleans, Gainesville and Orlando.
THEY ARE determined, WE must be as well!
THEY are made up of the Occupy Movement, Black Lives Matter and other domestic terrorist organizations that are anti-America and anti-Law Enforcement. Will YOU LET THEM TAKE OVER JACKSONVILLE?
WHAT CAN YOU DO?
1. ATTEND TUESDAY NIGHT'S CITY COUNCIL MEETING
Date: Tuesday, October 24th
Time: 5:00 p.m.
Where: 117 West Duval Steet (City Hall) - 1st Floor
Parking: There are city lots, metered spaces and other options. View them here: http://www.downtownjacksonville.org/GettingAroundJacksonville/DowntownParking.aspx
Please arrive early to sign up to speak.
If you're OK with public speaking, great, sign and when your name is called, you may have up to 3 minutes. A few suggested talking points can be found in this link:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1ABY5lLD8BjcWtJb2FGdmlUU1k/view
If you will go but don't want to speak - its OK to write on the card "I don't want to speak but I AM OPPOSED TO REMOVING ANY JACKSONVILLE HISTORIC MEMORIALS, INCLUDING TO CONFEDERATE VETERANS LIKE HEMMING PLAZA".
If you'd like to carpool with someone, let us know (floridasshe@gmail.com) and we'll see if we can hook you up with someone. There are several parking options.
Wear patriotic attire, if you're a veteran, wear a cap or shirt and mention it.
You can bet "Veterans for Peace" will be they'll be there saying "I'm a veteran and I'm for taking down these memorials". Will you let them go unanswered?
If you're a member of a club, veterans organization or community group, invite those you know that agree with you on this.
2. WRITE, CALL and E-MAIL THE COUNCIL AND MAYOR
Tell them that you're tired of hearing about them considering removing the monuments. Enough is Enough. It is disrespectful to even considering it and that City Council Pres. Broche should be ashamed of herself for entertaining the thought of removing veterans memorials.
What's next? The Name of the City itself? THEY have stated that want it. Nothing is off limits to THEM.
Start with the Mayor then Pres. Broche, and then your District Council member (if you live in Jacksonville - entire list below), and any others you may know personally. Also, reach out to them on social media.

3. Join Save Save Southern Heritage - Help us get the word out and the message through that ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. We need a State-wide protection bill that will elevate our historical war memorials on footing equivalent to a grave site, and of course, many of them are "Cenotaphs", locations we pay respects to ones who are buried in an unmarked or mass grave, at sea or worse. THEY do not understand honor or respect. THEY are intent in eliminating it. WE are standing up in this war on history and heritage. Join us NOW.
Even discussing removing War memorials is a disgrace. Imagine someone saying "let's take an inventory of Vietnam War memorials so we can decide if we want to remove them or not". Why is any Florida veterans' memorial less or more subject to debate. Soldiers answered the call of duty, like those serving today, and the rest that served in yesteryear. Their service should NOT be disrespected and their memorials removed because someone claims to be 'offended'. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

ABOUT US
SAVE SOUTHERN HERITAGE Inc. is a 501 c(4) public welfare corporation that educates & advocates on behalf of Southern Heritage & History. It was started in 2015 in response to the knee-jerk Anti-Southern institutionalized bullying and “Erase-ism” levied against the people of South Carolina by Governor Nikki Haley, after she broke all previous agreements about how South Carolina’s historical veterans and their symbols should be treated and respected.
The Florida branch was activated in mid-January 2016, in response to three initiatives in the Florida Legislature that are part of a hate campaign led by Anti-American extremists, who refuse to respect the various cultures that make up the fabric of Florida’s society. Since that time, it has grown in membership and has been active in Heritage battles throughout Florida including the “We’ll Remember in November Campaign” that resulted in #heritagehater candidates to loose elections in Florida.
