The Issue

My community, the Township of Shrewsbury, NJ,  has passed a  Feeding ban for feral cats although they were misinformed on the true scope of the problem. They were told by outside sources that there were sixty to seventy-five ferals when in fact that number is no more than fifteen. They were also not told that half of that number are already neutered with ear tip to signify this. I would like to see this community, Shrewsbury Township, NJ, issue a moratorium of this law for six months to allow for a trial run with the MCSPCA and the local Humane Society involved with verification of success in this small sized colony. These cats are abandoned cats from this same community and the Township should share some of the responsibility for these cats. I have been custodian of ten of these ferals for over ten years so I feel it is my duty to protect them as best I can. Please sign if you agree that these animals should not suffer and TNR should be accepted as a good alternative to Euthanizing cats. If everyone who owns cats had them neutered this problem of feral cats would solve itself. Save these cats. By the way, the State of New Jersey recognizes feral cats as domestic animals that have been left outside too long and have gone wild. Cats are pets, not wild animals. Save the cats !!!!!
