Make Remembrance Day a statutory holiday in the province of Ontario.

Make Remembrance Day a statutory holiday in the province of Ontario.
The Issue
Remembrance Day, November 11th, is currently a statutory holiday in all Canadian provinces except for Ontario and Quebec. This day is also observed in the world on a national level.
On remembrance day members of the armed forces are commemorated. The other common name for this day is Armistice Day which marks the date and time when armies stopped fighting World War I. on November 11th at 11am in 1918 (the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month). Some 100,000 Canadian soldiers died in the First and Second World Wars.
Veterans of wars both past and present should be honoured in all provinces across Canada, not all but two. It is thanks to them, after all, that we enjoy the rights and freedoms of today.
