We, the undersigned, are deeply concerned about the recent announcement that the Lexington Legends baseball team will change its name to the Lexington Counter Clocks. We believe that this change is unnecessary and will alienate longtime fans of the team.

The Lexington Legends name has become synonymous with baseball in our community. Changing the name to the Lexington Counter Clocks would be a disservice to the legacy of the team and the community that supports it.

We urge the management of the Lexington Legends to reconsider this decision and to keep the team's name as it is.
