Everyone, I’m here to ask for your support in a more public way. If you see social media posts about our issue, please comment in support of this issue. The more we band together and defeat the naysayers in a public debate, the better our chances are of winning. Also, PLEASE take the time to contact your alderman/woman and make yourself heard. From the online arguments and debates it’s becoming very clear the opponents of this measure only oppose it because “they don’t like it” and don’t really have valid arguments against it other than “it’s not safe.” This is a form of freedom of expression and freedom to choose what type of transportation we use. Here are some points you can make when confronting opponents: If RT 3 is so dangerous, why do we allow pedestrians, including school kids, to cross? Bicyclists too. How are motorcycles, slingshots, mopeds, jeeps and broncos without doors, and convertibles safer?
