Howdy Y'all! We've created this petition in light of a recent cease and desist order issued by the town zoning department regarding the keeping of our two mini pigs- Olive Pickle (black) and Daisy Ham (brown). It is of the Zoning Enforcement departments opinion that these gorgeous girls are considered "livestock" and not domesticated household pets (which is simply untrue), and they've demanded I re-home them due to my acreage not amounting to more than the 2+ acres needed to house actual farm animals like meat pigs, cows, horses, etc. 

  These types of animals are not raised for meat, nor any other kind of "farming" purpose. In fact they really don't do much other than snuggle and bask in the suns rays! They have their own bedroom in our home- complete with dog beds, interactive and brain stimulating toys, a ball pit and a litter box for winter (the princesses don't like getting their hooves wet with rain/snow lol). While they are each about 140lbs, neither stand taller than my knee... they're just solid pork rolls! Mini pigs are incredibly loving, affectionate animals and are some of the only animals in the world that cry real tears! They are the third smartest animal in the world and can be trained to do everything a dog can and more! Mine potty outside (or in a litter box), spin, sit, and walk on their hind hooves for treats.. in fact they'll probably learn to do my taxes if a treat is involved! :-)

  These girls are a staple of our neighborhood, with countless people stopping by on their daily walks for pets and to feed them a carrot or two. It would mean the world to us (and so many others that these ladies provide joy to) if you would sign and share our petition so that we can keep these beautiful (domesticated, house pet) girls home where they belong!
