I spoke with the county elections board and Illinois still requires handwritten signatures (go figure) for a measure to be placed on the ballot. We still have time to get this done and this online petition is not worthless. It still shows a real interest in the community to allow LSVs.  I will be putting together a book to collect signatures. I’m still waiting to hear when our petition is due to the county elections board. I’ll let everyone know when that will be. My goal will be to make it easy on everyone to sign, physically, over the next couple months. Keep sharing!
