Legalize Full-Time RV Living on Private Property

The Issue

Across the nation, countless individuals and families, out of necessity or preference, have made recreational vehicles (RVs) their permanent homes. Despite this, many municipality laws currently prohibit full-time RV living on private property. However, it is important to recognize the right of people to choose their preferred style of living, especially when it happens on their own property.

Living in an RV can be an affordable housing solution, far less than the median Snohomish County rent of $1,866 (source: US Census). Not only is this a cost-effective solution, but it also supports a minimalist and sustainable lifestyle. RVs generally have lower electricity usage, contributing positively to energy conservation efforts.

We believe in the individual right to determine one's own living situation, and we ask for legislative understanding and flexibility. We urge policymakers to amend existing zoning laws to enable citizens to legally live full time in RVs on their own property.

We, the citizens who value freedom of living, are calling on our leaders to enact this change. Sign today to show your support for the right to live full time in RVs on private property.
