The venue for the next conservation commission advisory board meeting has been announced. It will be held on March 8th, 2025, and begins at 9am. The location is
Gordon Persons Building Auditorium, 50 N. Ripley St., Montgomery, AL 36130
I invite everyone who can make it to attend and have your voice heard. They only hold two of these meetings per year, so it's important we make a lasting impression and show them that we aren't backing down. You may not have or even want one of these animals, but that's not the point of this movement. The state has granted itself the power to enter our homes and kill members of our families under false pretences, with no precedence or proof of its claims. It is our duty as American citizens to oppose any and all unjust laws and practices and to hold our government accountable for its actions when in contrast to the best interests of its citizens and native species. I have been told by members of the commission itself that there is no shortage of people who are actively demanding the government take even more drastic action against us. In my opinion, it appears that they are bending to the will of the uninformed masses in order to satiate their desire to punish us for the crime of offending their fragile sensibilities. With this in mind, our goal is clear: we have to be louder, more active, and better informed than the opposition. We must be firm, level headed and well educated. We must counter their misplaced emotions and demands for blood with a calm presentation of factual evidence and a kind but firm call for peace. Most importantly, we have to show up and be counted, we have to make sure we are seen and heard, and we have to send a loud and clear message that we will no longer tolerate this abuse. Please, join me in solidarity as I stand at the podium this march 8th and fight for the rights of our fellow alabamians.
Thank you.
