Stop Leeds United Myanmar Tour

I’ve been a Leeds fan all my life. I’ve supported them through the good times and the bad - but I cannot support their plan for a post season tour of Myanmar, as it would lend support to the country’s brutal regime.

Myanmar (also known as Burma) has been condemned across the world following violence in its Rakhine state, which has been described as ethnic cleansing carried out by the military against Rohingya Muslims. Nearly 700,000 people have been forced to flee their home.

I cannot accept that as the world condemns Myanmar, my club would support them. This is why I’m calling for Leeds to call off this post-season tour.

Leeds United are a big club with a proud history. What we do, and where we play matters. To play in Myanmar would tarnish our reputation and it would also reflect badly on us as fans, because we are an integral part of this club.

If enough of us back this petition, the club will have to listen. Please sign to show Leeds United that we will not accept this tour of Myanmar.
