Allow Exempted Dogs To Live In Leeds City Council Property
The Issue
To allow dogs registered on the Index of Exempted Dogs (including dogs which are on 'leave at home' via the Interim Exemption Scheme) to live in council property; This will prevent law abiding tenants and their families from facing eviction, losing their homes; and in some cases, pet owners being forced to destroy their pet dogs. It will also save much loved dogs (which are already found by the courts not to pose any danger to the public and who live with responsible owners) from being put to death because they can no longer live in council property.
