We will see where we are in a few days ...

Hello fellow Robert E. Lee county citizens. When I started this petition it was meant to be a neutral call for something that all other law enforcement agencies in our area use. 

I heard constructive comments from members of the law enforcement community and civilians alike. That sort of dialogue between stakeholders without broad generalizations or attempts to demonize the other side is the kind of discussion I hope we continue to have. It means we are listening to each other. 

To me, bodycams provide just as much protection to my law enforcement friends as they do to civilians. Additionally, we could potentially save on a lot of criminal litigation charges when the evidence right there. 

Bodycams don’t solve all the problems and can bring up additional ones (such as policy and procedure surrounding use,) but I think the positives outweigh the negatives for all involved. 

So I will see if we can get a little more support over the next couple days. I am hesitant to point to a petition with about 300 or so signatures. If it was quality over quantity, this petition would change the world though!
