في السّابع عشر من تشرين الأوّل 2019، نزل الشعب اللّبنانيّ إلى الشّوارع مُطالبًا بمُستقبل أفضل، وبإصلاحات اقتصاديّة وإنهاء الفساد المُستشري في مؤسّسات الدولة. بعد ثلاثة أشهر ومنذ استقالة حكومة سعد الحريري، لم تتمكّن الطبقة السياسيّة الحاكمة إلّا من أن تستنسخ الحكومة السابقة بقناع وزراء اختصاصيّين. فشل بعد فشل، برهنت الطبقة الحاكمة عن عدم قدرتها على تنفيذ الإصلاحات الضروريّة التي تستطيع أن تمضي بالبلاد قُدُمًا. لذلك، يطالب المواطنون اللبنانيّون بانتخابات نيابيّة مبكّرة لإعادة إنتاج طبقة سياسيّة داخل المجلس النيابيّ قادرة على تنفيذ الإصلاحات.

On October 17th, 2019, the Lebanese people took to the streets asking for a better future, economic reforms and end of corruption in the Lebanese government. Three months later, and following the resignation of Saad Hariri’s cabinet, the ruling class only managed to recreate the former cabinet covered up by independent and expert ministers. Failure after failure, the political authority proved its inability to implement necessary reforms and move the country forward. Thus, the Lebanese citizens are calling for early parliamentary elections to regenerate political forces in the Parliament.
