City of Yonkers and developer presented several REDESIGNS of Trevor Park to Yonkers Planning Board.  One plan - Park becomes a 1,000-unit parking garage covered with fake grass athletic field; Others - drastically minimize park and its safety.  All plans - possibility no playground. All plans create fumes, heavy traffic, safety, etc.  With a limited amount of natural green space available this unique gem is an oasis in a concrete jungle that helps impact the health, wellness and happiness of residents.

FROM THE BEGINNING - developer, some Community Leaders, some Politicians, the City of Yonkers - ALL were positive that Citizens Concerned With Saving Trevor Park would lose momentum and give up because “that's what WE DO”.  They felt that if strung along for a while we would give up because “that's what WE DO”.    WHAT THEY DIDN'T KNOW AND STILL DON’T REALIZE IS THAT WE UNITE because“THAT’S WHAT WE DO”.

ASK the Mayor of Yonkers, City Council and all Board Members to help save our Natural Environment  and our Beautiful Natural Landmark.  Ask them to vote in favor of the People of Yonkers by voting to preserve this Beautiful Backyard for the people of Yonkers.

This Park is a Historic landmark; the only family oriented natural park in this area; host to Community Activities.  It is without question, the backyard for hundreds of children and seniors. Recreational courts/fields with walking paths for exercisers and pets.

Summer birthday parties, concerts, children making lifetime friends, commuters relax. Winter Wonderland where friends from all across Yonkers come to slide down its famous hills.

Visited by deer, squirrels, birds, raccoons, and recently an owl was spotted.
