Allow the kids to practice! 

The world is an uncertain place right now. Online learning, working from home, jobs cutting hours, etc. There are people dying everyday. No visits to Grandma’s for the summer. The one thing our kids can depend on is sports.  The only time in their day that they can work hard, show discipline, perfect their sport, and maintain their health and strength is at practice. 

A person called and complained stating that there are kids on the school track. Let me repeat “kids on a school track!” A representative from LISD came to the track and told the kids they could not practice on the school track. 

Leander ISD has refused the kids of this community an opportunity run on their track. These kids are being forced off of a facility that we pay taxes for. Our tax dollars pay for the facility, the equipment, the water and electricity used, the pay checks of those kicking our kids off the track. 

The young athletes include those trying to get in shape for other sports, National athletes, Collegiate athletes, and professional hopefuls! 

Due to being kicked off of the track, these kids have been forced to run on the streets. 

The kids of this community are the future! The next professionals, the next leaders, future bosses, and upstanding citizens of this community, state and country. Remember, if you don’t support them now, they will not trust you to support their kids in the future.
