Thank you all for your support!! The people in Newfoundland and Labrador are already struggling. Loss of flight jobs in Alberta have already caused financial stress on our families. We are not asking our provincial government, we are TELLING them, this budget is NOT what we want, there is a better way and as our ELECTED officials they do NOT get to decide their way is better!!! We, the people of Newfoundland and Labrador, want this budget scrapped, we want a professional economist to be included on the decision making for the new one, and we want a budget that shows our provinces VISION! A vision that isn't "get rich quick", "get this deficit gone asap no matter the cost". A vision that will show where you see our beautiful province in 5, 10, 20 years from now. We are asking our Prime Minister to work with the people of Newfoundland and Labrador to open our Liberal leaders eyes to the error of their ways. Cancel this budget and help create a budget that doesn't financially destroy the families who make less than $60,000 a year. To create a budget that balances the higher paid salaries across this province instead of closing offices and eliminating jobs. Prime Minister Trudeau, we know your hands are tied to actually MAKE our leaders cancel this budget. However, seeing you acknowledge that our provincial government has turned their back on us would help ensure that our Federal Liberal party votes were worth it. We need our provincial government to make decisions to strengthen our economy! Higher taxes and fees are taking more money from our already struggling middle and lower income residents. We have seen a number of experts already paint a picture of what this budget will do to Newfoundland. We need YOU to hear us! And help teach our government how to STRENGTHEN our economy. Bring in more income! LISTEN to their voters! PLEASE help us speak up for our children! They are the ones who will be suffering from all these increases!!! This is only lightly touching on the implications of this budget. I have not touched on the impact with regards to the number of students in a classroom. The longer wait list for our court system. The closure of Child, Youth, and Family Services offices. The list just goes on and on. This budget left no family untouched. And has created a real life Robin Hood story!!! Prime Minister Trudeau, you wanted to make huge changes within Canada. Help ALL Newfoundland and Labrador and show us that voting for your party was the RIGHT decision!!! Show us that you will stand behind us while we are fighting for our MHAs to make the right decision!
