Many parents are concerned about their children going to school and possibly getting the coronavirus(COVID-19). In fact, many locals have already started to stock up on supplies so they can stay home and avoid interactions. This is all pointless at the end of the day when their children go to school at risk and possibly obtain the virus. 

Two people have been tested positive for the coronavirus(COVID-19) in Fairfax County, VA. Fairfax County is in close vicinity of Loudoun County and there is no way to tell if it has already spread to Loudoun County.

A couple of hours ago it was only one case in Fairfax County that “Didnt have a connection to Fairfax” and now another case has come up? The correlation is there, it is no coincidence that two people have tested positive on the same day and in the same area. Who knows if these people have spread the coronavirus to family members or children that go to school.

LCPS and FCPS close on a snowy days but not in a time of an outbreak of a highly dangerous virus that can spread rapidly? Our students and staff are at the highest risk when they are exposed to other students or teachers who may have the coronavirus. Loudoun County has supplied students with labtops so they are able to stay involved with education from home. Loudoun County and Fairfax County officials should take this into account and protect our students and staff. 

It would be in Loudoun County and Fairfax County’s best interest to close schools and prevent this outbreak from being worse.
