In 2008, Ohio became a national trailblazer in the clean energy economy by implementing a renewable energy standard. This policy has helped generate nearly 89,000 clean energy jobs and saved Ohio consumers and businesses more than $1 billion in energy costs.

That all changed in 2014 when Ohio lawmakers froze the renewable energy standards without a plan to move Ohio’s clean energy economy forward. 

Now is the time to ensure that the next President has a plan for a clean energy future. Ohioans have the power to make their voices heard to politicians and create change for future generations. It is time we call on our elected officials to create a plan to power our country with more than 50 percent clean energy by 2030.
