The All England Lawn Tennis Club are proposing to create a huge car park in Wimbledon Park during the Tennis Championships, over twice as big as in other years.  This means that we will lose vital recreational safe space at this critical time, just as local residents are being urged to take a very cautious route in the reduction in Covid-19 “lockdown” measures.

Despite recently taking over the golf course, they wish to divert parking into our public space which is classed as Metropolitan Open Land. As a car park, it is much less safe for toddlers and would be a pollution hot-spot.
