Rarely does a single policy choice mean so much to so many of us. But Gov. Hogan’s imminent decision on the Purple Line will greatly determine what our County’s future looks like. We can have revitalized neighborhoods and job centers connected by modern, efficient transportation and energized by 40,000 new jobs. Or we can have aging communities hamstrung by rising gridlock and a sluggish economy.

The Purple Line project is ready to roll. Nearly $1 billion in federal funding has been approved. Another $700 million of private and local financing is waiting to be collected. Now it’s up to Gov. Hogan alone to give the green light. Ask him to approve the Purple Line without delay by signing below.

Modern light rail is a proven way to lessen congestion, revitalize neighborhoods and create good-paying jobs. And overwhelming majority of County residents want to start building the Purple Line.

Marylanders are counting on us to make the right transportation investments to move them and their families safely and reliably. That's why we must weigh in with Gov. Hogan today to support the Purple Line and the 40,000 new jobs that come with it.
