Ban Rubber Bullets
Ban Rubber Bullets

As seen during protests, rubber bullets have been one among the many methods used to control and/or disperse crowds. Law enforcement officers have not used these dangerous bullets only as a means for looters though, innocent protesters have been shot and severely injured by them as well. Linda Tirado, an author and photographer, was shot in the eye while peacefully protesting in Minnesota and now is permanently blind in her one eye.
Rubber bullets are specifically used for crowd controlling purposes. They come in many different shapes and sizes, but all are capable of inflicting serious injury and possibly can be fatal.
The use of rubber bullets should be completely BANNED, they are hazardous to protestors and as we see throughout the internet and on the news, not all officers are using them in the correct manner, causing serious injuries to innocent civilians that are only asking for change. Please sign and share this petition to help ensure that protestors all throughout the United States do not have to worry about being fatally shot by these destructive bullets while out on the streets already risking their lives for this important social movement.
