To require animal control to be present during police raids to ensure the safety of pets and stop cops from killing dogs. 

Dogs protecting there home are not doing anything wrong and should not be shot by cops entering a home to search it. Dogs don't know the difference between cops and intruders. They are protecting their home. That what people have pets for.  Plus they are part of your family. Losing a pet is hard no matter what. But to have your dog shot for no reason is wrong. 

Dogs are not breaking laws. They should not be treated like they irrelevant. Cops should be held responsible for pet shootings just as they are for all shootings. Ty should be held accountable for their actions. 

If cops are not able to ensure the safety of pets then another agencies that can should be present. It is a police officers job to deal with people. That is what they are trained for. They are not trained in animal control and handling. And therefore should not be able to make a choice to kill a dog. Taking any life should not be a cops first choice. 

The loss of pets is tragic  and this should be and can be prevented. If a dog barking frightens a cop and his only deduction is to kill it than they should not be allowed to make that decision. The presece of animal control will ensure multiple things.

1-dogs are not killed by law enforcement

2- ensure law enforcement follows procedure and protects life as they swore to do.
