Petition for the removal of Head Football Coach Lorenzo Hernandez at Garfield High School of East Los Angeles. Most importantly the lack of leadership in the community, including leadership of parents, youth football partners, coaches and some Varsity football Alumni. The Community and Football Alumni are requesting the current Administration at GHS for a coaching change due in part of the Football teams record decline and the lack of competitive results versus power house opponents. The illegal recruitment of student athletes from various communities. The lack of active movement during football practice of athletes and coaches, no prepared lesson plans detailing a minute by minute practice, lack of teaching from Head Football Coach to student. Dismissing all California State Standards for Varsity football. The Community and Alumni are hoping to accomplish a change of Head Football coach that is a Garfield Alum, an educator with a back ground in Physical Education, a knowledgeable Head Football Coach, a Head Coach that will meet all educational standards, and be competitive. Furthermore create a more welcoming environment for the community and alumni, and regaining the tradition.
